Escambia County purchased the cards through the National Association of Counties. Our county is one of 39 counties that are offering the discount cards.
This is great for poorer citizens that are having trouble with paying for prescription drugs, but the National Association of Counties doesn’t just hand these cards out to counties for free; they cost money.
Escambia County – how much did you pay for these cards?

Is this site affiliated with the NACO?
ReplyDeleteEscambia County really did not pay anything for the cards. It's a benefit the county gets from the NACO.
ReplyDeleteThat other comment sounds suspect to me. Did you check out that site?

ReplyDeleteI think the site is suspect. I'm fairly certain they're not associated with NACO or CVS/Caremark.
Just read your April comments.
ReplyDeleteRxFreeCard.Com is not connected with NACO. We have serviced over 3million lives. Check out our website, we are legitimate.
I like the drug card at www.rxdrugcard.com. Costs me $4.50 a month but I save about $40 on each of my prescriptions. You can check your drugs' prices on the website.
ReplyDeleteAll these TV ads are pushing new drugs when the old drugs or the generics are much, much less expensive. I’ve seen ads on TV for Caduet. It has two ingredients. One is Amlodipine and the other is Atorvastatin. With my RxDrugCard I can get 30 tablets of Amlodipine for $9 and 30 tablets of Simvastatin for $9. I’ll bet they are charging more than $18 for this new drug! The unthinking public is going to pressure their doctors into giving them something just because it’s new, when something old or generic would do the job for cheaper.
ReplyDeleteNice post.
